Type B corrugated cardboard with thickness of approximately 3 mm is used for packaging for heavier and larger products.
The most widely used type of corrugated cardboard is type E, with a thickness of approximately 1.7 mm.
Type F corrugated cardboard has thickness of approximately 1.2 mm. As compared to type E it allows reduction of storage and transport costs of up to 30 %, and a 10 % saving of materials used for its middle waved layer. Grafobal is the only manufacturer to offer this type of waved cardboard in Czech and Slovak republics.
Corrugated cardboard is manufactured on two corrugating and laminating lines with maximum working width of 1450 mm.
The most common production technology for three-layer corrugated cardboard is preprint, in which the offset printed sheet is laminated onto two-layer corrugated cardboard. For transport packaging we can use postprint, where three-layer corrugated cardboard is later printed on two-colour flexoprint machines.
In corrugated cardboard commodities, Grafobal is principally oriented to laminated packaging, with special emphasis on print quality, shaped cutting, final finishing and selection of materials used.
